I finally went stage 1.5 and got tuned yesterday. Replaced the downpipe with a 3" catted one. Didnt want to deal with the stink of unburnt gas so didnt go catless. Anywho, the car is now pushing 18 lbs of boost and making some good power. I plan on removing the 2nd cat from the exhaust and that should free up some more top end power. I should be able to get another 10-20 bhp at the top with that and a boost solenoid. More on that when the time comes.

So, what's the horsepower at the flywheel and what is the current 0-60 on it?

Account for about 20% in driveline losses and count backwards. 0- 60 time i havent tried it yet.

Whats Stage 1.5? How much HP can a stock STI Block handle till it destroys itself?
Nice graphs, I only wish I could make torque

The common assumption for Subaru EM mods is like this
Stage 1: Just ECU reflash without any hardware change
Stage 2: Replace stock exhaust with a turbo back exhaust and add reflash.
I didnt swap my full exhaust just the turbo downpipe. I still have my somewhat restrictive catback and 2 cats in. If i get rid of both of them then i will lose some low end torque but gain 10 bhp up top.

Torque is what you'd use more.... leave the cats in.....
And thats really impressive with such little work.
How much did it run you?

About $250 for exhaust and $150 for install and tune.
For baselines stock STIs range somewhere around 220/220 on the dyno software.

What? Gained 53hp and 73ft-lb from fiddling with your ECU and a bit of your exhaust system? Why the hell aren't they configured this way stock? And why the hell didn't you do this right when you bought it?
That's a HUUUUGE difference. How does it feel?

The official line is for emissions reason. A subaru master tech i was talking to told me that the WRC cars also run a restrictor plate to control the amount of power they can make and subaru just used the same thing on its production models. Will take a pic of what i am talking about when i get home. Why i didnt do this? i blame midnightdorifto for not getting together a install day

The feel now is effin addictive. Not only is the car super smooth to drive the boost comes on much smoother and wayyy harder. I can feel the acceleration pin me in the seat all the way from 1-4th and a lot more in 5th.
