The 880 freeway? I am trying recall where that is becuase I think I drove down it at some point in my life but I cant remember where it was.

A donk out there is missing a wheel! At least the driver only took on minor injuries, what a freakish incident.

I wouldn't call multiple fractures, a dislocated shoulder and an ended basketball career minor injuries but he was lucky nevertheless. It could have ended much, much worse.

Have a look at the wheel: wire spokes and rather ugly. What are the chances that it came off a doctor's or teacher's car? Yeah, not likely. Now imagine maybe it came off a car with a stereo that is disproportionately lavish compared to the value of the car whilst maybe some loud music was playing pontificating about 40's and ho's.

Uwe bro say thanks that he survived that.....

I wish they find the idiot from where that 1000 spoke wheel came off and make him undergo the consequences...

They did find him... the guy is now seeing if he can sue him.

He also said that he's trying to find out if the thousand-spoke is aftermarket and sue the company that made it. On the bright side, it looks like he could end up with at least an E46 M3 and maybe even an E92 M3.

Ok... suing the guy is easily explainable, I guess. Misconduct/Improper installation of a wheel etc. etc...

But, now he wants to sue the maker of the wheel that hit him?

Gee, I hope I get shot and survive so I can sue the gun manufactuer/ammunition manufacturer.

Oh I forgot, sorry... wheels are built to kill people. Sorry about that technicality. rolleyes.gif

The guy talked about how the wheel was cheaply made and a "screw on" or something like that. I'd look into it if I were him.

Goes from Oakland, CA to San Jose, CA and turns into Highway 17 to Santa Cruz and eventually merges into 1.

IMO, this guy is just getting greedy. He's seemingly going to exploit every person/corporation he can...

Also, how the hell would he even get the manufacturer convicted of anything? The second the product leaves their hands it's out of their control. "The customer installed it improperly. Now fuck off." is pretty much what they'll just say....

Unless the product is proven to be faulty in a way that led to the accident.

We'll see.
