It's a cool car and I'm sure you'll enjoy it, but with a new 997 C2 starting at the same price point (in Canada at least) and an RS6 in the garage I don't see the point in another four door Audi RS saloon.

No manual option, chunky, and the E39 M5 ran rings around in terms of handling. I'm just an E39 M5 fanboy...don't mind me. I also really, really love the RS4, and have never been much of a fan of the RS6 in any form.

Well I think part of purchasing the RS6 was that it's pretty damn rare.

The RS6 makes more sense when you put it more in the light of an über-GT than a super sports sedan. It's like Audi's 4-door take on something more sport-luxury-style in the vein of a Maserati Granturismo, Ferrari 456/612, etc. than it was ever a true M5 equal.

Moe, go on youtube and watch some vids of the RS6 raping the e39M5. Although I would have the e39 anyway over the RS6, the audi is the better all rounder although it lacks teh stick and much much more rare.

I purchased the RS6 because there were less than 90 deliviered and made legal for Canada (otherwise I would have bought one in the US for cheap). I love the fact that I own a rare vehicle that I will know is unique in Canada.

I bought the RS4 because I got a little bored with the S4. I was very interested in the S5 because of its styling and its slightly stronger engine, however the RS4 is in another class.

Wow man, great choice. a friend of mine's dad owns an RS4 Avant(stationwagon also in Daytona Grey, and my god is it a great car. funnily enough, in europe more Avants are sold than sedans(of the RS4). the magazine im working for is going to be getting their hands on the new 2008 RS6 soon enough, and then i can give you a definite word on the (it seems, in this thread) ongoing M5 vs RS6 battle.

Raping the M5 in a YouTube video doesn't make the RS6 better, nor will it change my opinion on it, and I really don't care how rare it was. Also, I'm tired of hearing Audis are "better all-rounders" just because they have Quattro (you didn't specifically say that, but that's what I keep hearing, and I'm assuming you mean the same thing).

That said, what Clarkma said makes the RS6 fit better in PD's line-up. Still, an R8 would've been a better addition than an RS4...not that the RS4 is anything short of brilliant.

R8 costs too much money. The dealership wants $160,000 CDN. They have a demo car they used for advertisement with 500 kms and they want $150,000

Nice color! Everytime I see one it's always black. I rode in one at Mecaglisse Race track past winter and it's amazing how fast it is, even on snow/ice!
