I'm not debating that Hamilton is a good driver, I think he is an Awesome driver...but I think his driver profile is lacking in some aspects. Mainly how to ignore circumstances and do the best race possible. I think he could have got this kind of experience driving for a team like STR Ferrari or Honda...where he would have had to make the best out of a bad car.
I'm sure there have been tonnes of brilliant drivers drummed out of F1 because they got placed in a middle of the pack or back of the pack team right off the hop, and couldn't just button down and drive to the best of their ability despite the machinery.

Yeah there certainly is an element of luck involved sometimes, in relation to make or break and then there are people like Alonso who made it obvious they were a top driver, with the worst car in the field.

BIG weekend for Renault! GJ to Toro Rosso too for scoring some good points. Who would have known the midfield would dominate during the last few races of the season.
Edit: nevermind for STR, due to the penalty

A few things were reaffirmed for me in this race:
1: Hamilton is a prick and he drives like one. This race should have been Kimi's. This isn't the first time his overzealous driving caused a ridiculous incident, but the first time he got what was coming to him.
2: Alonso is bar none the best driver on the grid at the moment. Great race from him.
3. Of the three people in world championship contention, Kubica is the only driver who has driven like a world champion. Massa keeps making stupid mistakes as well.
4. With Schumacher gone and Alonso in a really slow car, the lack of great talent at the front of the grid makes for a good show, and sometimes unpredictable results.

Did Bourdais get a penalty for the Massa incident? If so that is bullshit.
Hamilton once again proved that under big pressure he loses his head entirely, something I hope experience will eventually sort out. Dr. S is right, I think Raikkonen would've won this race today had he not been blocked.
Massa's tap on Hamilton wouldn't have been so bad if he'd been on the track, so fair game - but I was disappointed to see the Ferrari pit garage going crazy after it happened, that's not exactly sporting, although we all knew what they were like anyway.
Alonso has done really well, although he has had some luck come his way to reach these victories, once out in front he is untouchable, this season has gone a long way to mend any bad PR gained from last season.
Kubica has done well this season, I wouldn't say he has had many stand out, great races but has been awesomely consistent and as Richard Burns has proved in the past that is a great tactic for success!
Shame the action was pretty much all at the start though.

I am going to guess with my heart on this one. My rule for Hamilton is to never bet against him when everything is going his way. I can't imagine he will make two gigantic driver errors in two consecutive races.
Odds are, it will be a Schumacher style race for Hamilton. Not because of driver talent, but there will be a decent start from Hamilton, and then a quick slash to let the rest of the grid know who owns this race, then a long boring dominated Hamilton win.
I just wonder about turn one. Massa often gets great starts, and he is on the clean side of the grid. Raikkonen should be running light, and I could see Hamilton folding under pressure with all of that red in his mirrors. But twice in a row? When he has, what seems to be a pretty big advantage?
Turn one, lap one, we'll find out. God this is fucking exciting. I LOVE THIS SPORT! GO MASSA!!!! FORZA FERRARI!!!!

I would like to reiterate, these new circuits are boring as shit, and don't hold a candle to Monza or Spa.

I'm a fan in a sense that he's a talented driver that will turn into a great driver, perhaps a legend.. The only thing holding him back is lack of experience, and most of the haters hate him because of his cockiness(with the exception of those delusional spaniards, who just hate him for no fair reason).
Edit: Maybe he deserves to win less than some(or most) of the drivers out in that field, but you cannot deny that he's capable of winning races and championships.
