I think it looks pretty slick. Probably that much better than the sedan, which always left something to be desired in the back third or so IMO...

duality
I like it...a lot.

That is honestly, very, very sexy. I'd say it's on par with the Alfa 159 Sportwagon for sexyness in my book (which is about as good as it gets this side of the custom Ferrari 456 Wagons).

Is the car going to be really that slow slung? Looks pretty in any case smile.gif

Excellent. Too bad we can't have the manual. sad.gif

I love them, but they are too small on the inside. My friend has one and I feel cramped driving it...and I'm little (170cm and 80kg)

Yeah, the A4's got a tight backseat (though the front seat has always been plenty ample), but with the new B8, the wheelbase has grown massively and I think rear legroom is up on the order of 3 inches, which is very significant.
tune
Looks tasty, I thought they'd ruined the new A4.

Audi certainly doesn't keep models around for long! They've been churning out new A4's like every 3 years or so. In any case, this one is beautiful. That interior is stunning. The only thing I don't like about it is the driver tilt double hood. I think the whole stack shouldn't be tilted.

Their cycle is quite constant, actually. New models come every 7 model years. Some sort of refresh happens in the middle. It's pretty par for the course for the auto industry. Though I agree it seems more often than that, probably because of models like the Cabriolet, the RS4, etc. feeling like "new" A4s even when they're really not.

Somehow it just seems that there is always a new A4 on the boards. Perhaps they "refresh" more often than others! Anyhow, this is a gorgeous car... I hope we will get a 6-speed version, and maybe a diesel, but I'm not counting on it.

It is very "German" to constantly tweek a car throughout its lifetime.

If I have noticed anything from my life long obsession with Porsche its that the Germans believe in a steady and natural progression of advancement...rather than the more Japanese philosophy of punctuated improvements.

Also in this day of spy photography, internet blog sites and what not, we are so much more exposed to a car before it goes on sale than ever before, so it really seems that as soon as a new model is released, its replacement is right around the corner.

Good point! There are fewer surprises and there is more waiting for models to come out than in the past. I guess that's why companies are adamant about keeping their secrets, it cuts into the excitement factor when you've been waiting for a car for 2 years.
