So, like the topic says, what was your first car?
Mine was a 1989 Honda Civic Wagon, which didn't go into reverse and had a wiring job which I joked was akin to something you would find on the Millennium Falcon.
It was by all accounts a horrible car...but I loved it.

'94 Honda del Sol. It was awesome, and is still the most fun car I've owned to date. It had the electric roof as well, which wasn't working for most of the time I had it, but was awesome nonetheless.

2002 VW GTI 1.8T Tiptronic. Loaded except for the bigger wheels (sunroof, heated seats, monsoon stereo, leather), Indigo Blue Pearl over beige leather.
It was a good car except I got the options all wrong. The dark paint was too hard to keep clean, as was the light interior, while the heated seats were worthless in california, the leather was too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter, and too slippery in general, the tiptronic wasn't a manual (and not an especially good automatic either, though I've driven worse), and I don't care for sunroofs. Even the upgraded stereo sounded identical to the non-upgraded stereo in my current car. But in any case, it was a sweet first ride for sure, despite its foibles.

1991 Celica GT, haven't had it very long but I plan to hang on to it for a while. So far so good, just minor annoyances related to 100,000+ mileage cars. Currently I have problems with my sunroof seal... It's reasonably fun to drive and the transmission is bliss compared to others I've used...it was very nice to learn on.

I took charge of my mom's 2001 Accord at the end of October and she just recently totaled it, so I'm looking for second car. I learned to drive stick on my dad's Volvo S70, however.

I decided to make this a story of my life in cars. I think this is the order, its been a while so I cant really remember.
1. 1996 Salvaged Nissan Altima
- This car used to be my moms, and it was given to me after she beat it to shit, so i had some fun working on it, learning about cars (my mom is TERRIBLE with cars, even though according to herself, she is a great owner)
2. 2000 Jeep Wrangler (4.0L)
- I LOVE this car, I will probably end up buying another one later in life. It handles so well offroad, the engine was amazing.
3. 1992 Pontiac Firebird
- RWD, but talk about shitty suspension.
4. 1996 Honda Civic LX
- Nice Gas mileage, bought it off my aunt, this car was perfect for what its meant for.
5. 2000 Acura Integra GS-R *current*
- This car is soooooooooooooooooooooo amazing, currently tuning suspension, next is engine internals.

Dacia 1310, just like the one in the picture.
It had power nothing (my muscles were HUGE after doing a couple of J-turns), everything kept breaking down, it had no radio, it was cold in the winter, in one word: JUNK.
In the summer , I used to leave it open with the windows open and nobody would steal it. But the only fond memory I have of it is driving in the summer with the window open and one hand outside. Needles to say I sad one brown arm and one milky white one after a couple of weeks.

We used to have one of those, and then, the Super Nova, piece of shit came out, and we got that. I didn't like any of them, although the Super Nova was an improvement after the 1310. Ah those were the good days.

1995 Toyota Paseo, still driving it as a daily.
My first and current. 1989 Toyota Corolla hatch manual.
The dent up front was caused by me not concentrating in heavy traffic. I then had to replace the whole driver's door when I left it overnight at my mate's place and woke to find a hole in it...
Good news is that I just got the air cond. working again (It's summer and it's a bitch) and about to put it up for sale when I get off my P1's

I like black rims and I can't afford any

'91 Acura Integra GS -4dr(are all GS's?), white, manual. It wasn't bad for a 9 year old car with like 140k miles. I only had it for half a year since I had to move and couldn't take it with me, so I might not of had it long enough to have any trouble with it. It was nice having a small car after learning and having to drive my parents huge cars for a few years before. I hydroplaned for the first time in this car, ah the memories.

when I was 16 I've got bittin by the mini-4 stroke virus, unlike in the US you aren't aloud to own a car until you are 18. I never thought I'd like cars like I do now.
I owned a couple of old Honda Dax's (st50) and Monkey's witch I "pimped", but still keeping it old skool.
original:

my last one:
if there is anyone who knows a thing or 2 about mini 4 stroke: it's a honda 50 cc moto-frame, chroom alloys, Imperial Carbon exhaust (Japanees brand that only makes Titanium exhaust, so this was a unique piece), the engine 117 cc's with Kitaco and Takegawa gear, the clutch is a Takegawa Chroom kit with 4 plates, I was one of the first owners of such a kit in Europe.

When I turned 18 I bought me a Ford Escort 1998 1.8 TD, wich was nice, but was at his end of his life. I ownly had it for a year or 2. Fun Fact: the mini-bike costed a 1000 euro's more than the car!

Now I own a Citroen C4 (wich is totaly crap, has been in the shop 2 times for computer related errors and next week I can go back for other faults in one year!)

... seriously, for the money people spend on those, they might as well buy a C6 or something.

Feb 6 2008, 09:34 AM
Most people that start modding their fieros that are going for an exotic look are doing it because they don't have enough money for the real thing. Thing is, the only decent kit cars (decent) are pricey enough, at least to me, to justify spending my money elsewhere.
I'm perfectly okay with my fiero's 80's styling for the time being

An acquaintance of mine started his composite production business by building his own kit, which would turn a Fiero into a pretty good Countache replica...it was pretty cool...he was just some guy who was pretty good at making molds...
Although this is in no way an endorsement for this kind of thing...normally the starting car has more character than the finished product could ever hope to have.

My first car
1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS (NA)
It was a bit beat up and had high mileage but it was only $2500. I had to sell it 2 years ago cause the tranny went and I was broke (just started college). It wasn't a great car (only like 140hp, dents, squeaks, etc) but I really wish I'd held onto it to fix up someday. I know it sounds weird but I had a soft spot for it and for an Eclipse I thought it looked really good (minus the blemishes)

My first ever car was an Austin Seven (1961 Mini). I bought it, did it up but couldn't afford the insurance, so sold it for 3x what I'd paid and just borrowed my parent's cars for a couple of years.
I owned it when smileys had just been invented
Hated the lack of traction if you floored it at the lights. Went for rwd afterwards, then added 4wd and finally added a fwd again with my Peugeot 106GTI (which is great).
