2000 Acura Integra GS-R

Well this is what I did my Winter break besides doing construction work for my dad.
Washed my car and added a couple goodies.

Honda S2000 Oil Filter, Better oil bypass and design, supposedly good, i figured i would try it out, I honestly cant feel any difference.

Magnetic Oil and Transmission Drain Bolts

K&N Air Filter, man this was a BITCH to get in.

My Pretty Engine Bay, B18C1
170 hp @ 7600rpm
128 ft-lbs @ 6200 rpm (Whats a Torque??!?! oh.gif )
Redline 8100 rpm

S2000 Oil Filter next to the one I had in before, JDM HAMP oil Filter, I'll be going back to this one next time (they are cheaper and much better than stock honda ones, and they are made by honda too, haha)

OEM Spark Plugs

Yay the Goodies!

OEM USDM Integra Type-R Rear Sway Bar, 22mm
ASR Rear Subframe Brace, You need this for Non-Type-R Integra's when putting in a Type-R sway bar, because the subframes arent as strong as Type-R's. The subframes will literally tear apart if you dont have any kind of brace when you put the thicker type-r sway on there.
Energy Suspension Greasable Bushings and D-Links.

This is the Difference between the Stock GS-R 13mm Sway bar and USDM Type-R 22mm (JDM Type-R's have 23mm Rear sway bars)

It looks pretty doesnt it?

One problem i've had is the since the new energy suspension bushings are alot thicker than the stock Type-R Bushings and D-links, my sway bar and exhaust pipe hit eachother a little bit and it makes an annoying rattle occasionally. Ive gotten used to it, but people who ride in my car hate it.

Things on the car that arent stock.
K&N Filter
Tokico Shocks and Springs (lowered 1.5 inches front and rear)
OEM Integra Type-R Front Lip
Honda S2000 Oil Filter (Better Bypass at WOT apparently)
ASR Rear Subframe Brace
USMD Integra Type-R 22mm Sway Bar
Energy Suspension Rear Sway Bar Regreasable Bushings.

Whats going to be put on, that I have.
Skunk2 Shift Knob (440 grams, wooo)
Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator, and the fans just arrived at my house. smile.gif

Going to buy soon. hopefully :\
Greddy EVO2 exhaust (loud) or APEXi World Sport 2 Exhaust (quiet), Im not sure which one yet.
Skunk2 Pro Series Intake Manifold
JDM Type-R Header

My thoughts on the Sway bar. This is seriously one of the best performance per buck I think you can get for this car. The Difference is night and day, sharp turns are my bitch now. It holds up the rear end so well, I was very surprised. the ASR subframe brace also acts as a lower tie bar, so that helps alot too. I am sooooooooooooo glad I bought this, no regrets at all.

Well, thats my super rice mobile, enjoy

Wow... looks great. Did you do anything to the exterior since you last posted it, or just cleaned it?
moethepaki
Nice. I love the color on your Integra. I think I need sway bars for my dad's Accord...

Nah, its been the same, still debadged in the rear, wingless, and oem type-r front lip. I pretty much just got every speck of dust of her. Fuck now gotta be at my apartment which gets my car super dirty. I want a car cover. Any suggestions?
sectachrome
Nice car. Very clean.

dont buy an exhuast. get a good exhaust shop to build you a new one that clears your swaybar and slap a 22" resonator and a magnaflow oval muffler painted black with no tip hiding under the bumper.
WardLarson
needs a whistler tip on the exhaust

hmmm an exhaust shop sounds like a good idea, im going to buy a Spoon N1 muffler though. I need to figure out how much resonator length equals how much noise. cuz i dont want it completely quiet.
WardLarson
idk man whistler tips are pretty loud
Benny
why do you want to put an N1 can on ? get a spoon/dc sports twinloop style muffler instead. quiet is an understatement on the magnaflow its not quiet unless your cruising around. an intake and velocity stack combo would have been a better choice than the drop in and, it will give you quite respectable gains when paired with the exhaust.

Very nice shine (in the second picture). Look beautiful overall, and I'm sure it's a blast to drive (gotz to luv taht VTAK, LOL!). I went for the K&N Filter on my Si, and it has been running more smoothly ever since!

Do you have any good full side or back profiles of your car? I'm semi-tempted to rice it out more on photoshop for fun! With your permission of course...
dukenukem
I dont see any SANCHEZ sticker on the back window!!! Quit slacking and get on that asap.
goota
I wanted to put a DS sticker on it, but Diesel sold us.

I want to go take some pictures this weekend, if I have time that is. I'll try to get some.

Id rather keep the stock intake box on there, plus gains from from an intake and velocity stack would be minimal and not worth it i think. I got the filter quite cheap, so im happy with the purchase. As for the Spoon N1, I really like the way it sounds and the Mugen Twinloop is ridiculously expensive, plus I dont like DC sports.

We'll see on the exhaust though, im kinda set on the Spoon N1, but if money gets tighter, i'll just get the Stock Type-R exhaust, its alot greater than the GS-R one.
Benny
the stock type r muffler is a great choice. the intake/velo.stack combo would do alot more than you think my friends b16 gained 5hp from 3000-7000rpm and is pretty quiet. um. if he stays under 5000rpm.
but if your taking the "magnetic oil plug tuning route you might aswell get these cheap parts.
Intake Manifold Thermal Gasket
Shifter Bushings
goota
yeah i actually already have the hondata IM gasket. I think I will get those shifter bushings, that would be nice.

What kind of intake/vel stack combo do you recommend, does your friend have a SRI? I removed the resonator tube on my stock Intake box, so my intake is pretty loud, especially when the secondary runners open in the IM.

I just wanted a magnetic drain plug, i really got it for no reason lol

Ha I was the same. I got an ECS Tuning magnetic oil drain plug mainly because I felt like I should replace the stock one eventually since it's a sort of wear item (some people replace their oil drain plug every oil change!)
Benny
I dont think you really need to bother with the skunk2 intake manifold until you start doing headwork. And when i can get a hold of my friend ill ill get you a link for his intake/vs setup. for now heres a little video of his civic i shot for him not too long ago by my house.

hey goota!

I talked to my friend and he's running an AEM V1 intake with the BPi Velocity stack combo.
annnnd they have a dyno graph for a B18c1 so

wow 6hp! is that whp? or at the flywheel?

oh yeah update, i had a little run in with the ground and some dirt and some brush. the paint job on the car was actually pretty shitty and its peeling and chipping all over the front bumper now. plus there are a couple broken tabs on the bumper. SOO, instead of wasting my time and money on getting a new bumper and fixing all the shit that was wrong with the front (like when i bought it, you might not be able to tell from the pictures, but there is maddd gap between the bumper and fender and hood.) anyways, im going to be peicing together a JDM front end, and then painting it Satin Black (myself). So, my money is going to be going to that now.

Don't do it. Am I the only person who prefers the four circular lights over the JDM front?

Nope I do too. I think the JDM front looks like it belongs on a fat japanese luxury car, not a little sporty coupey/hatchey thing.
Bjorn
Maybe things are different to the south, but I find that there are so many Integras running around (more so in BC than here in Manitoba) that it's refreshing when I see one with the JDM front end.
goota
Yeah, theres quite alot of people with JDM fronts, especially in socal, its not like youll see them all the time though. But, I like them. When I bought the car the radiator support at the top was bent down a little bit which made a gap in the bumper/hood. So I just want to replace all of it, and start out fresh. smile.gif

When i read the topic title at first i thought it was some new member who had a riced out Honda. The car looks awesome and fun to drive.

I meant i only read the title and didn't see the name of the user who made the thread.

redlinehappiness
I don't think a ricer would actually acknowledge that he/she, is in fact a ricer.
WackoWizard
You never know. Could be some spoiled brat who has all the cars he\she wants and rices the ones he/she doesn't like for fun. I've known a few people like that.

its wheel horsepower and although its not that much its also not too expensive and i dont know how you feel about the sound 3rd gear vtec with minimal to none exhaust modifications but i just love it and its also a great way to gain some more MPGs. my friend has seen 39mpg in his hatchy.
goota
yeah doode, 6whp from something like a price like that i think is pretty awesome. wow 39 mpg, thats so freakin awesome. your friends car sounds like its freakin awesome.
clarkma5
FREAKIN AWESOME!!

fuck you, you know when i was typing it, i was like "how many awesomes did i put in there?" haha bastard...
