... but you will have to wait until some time tomorrow to see what they are. Travelled from home in Shropshire up to Bolton near Manchester (156-mile round trip) to collect them this evening after finishing work.

I'm not going to hate, but I will sigh under my breath. tongue.gif

What's the reason this time?

You won't hear one word of criticism from me. I've three sets of wheels myself. tongue.gif

Stop spending money on wheels and buy a better car.

The reasoning behind getting another set of wheels is pretty simple. The temporary rims I fitted a few weeks ago in this thread are, quite frankly, terrible. It turns out that they have too large a centre bore (and I have no spigot rings to fit) also my tyre shop tells me that two of the wheels have kinks in them sufficient to cause the steering wheel vibration I was experiencing between 55-65mph. So I'm going to bin them, worthless good-for-nothing, craptacular wheels!!

Now then, the replacements. Some may remember the black steels I was running last winter (as per my avatar)? They are Golf mk2 G60 15"x6J steels. Well, I sold those back in June for a handsome price and have now gone and bought a brand new set in the original silver finish (for less than I sold the other ones for, of course)!

A quick picture from my mobile phone (sadly in MMS message friendly size, 320x240):

Gives you the idea before I clean the car and take some better pictures at the weekend!

The black steels I sold are fitted to a silver Polo GTi like mine, just a few miles away. Going to talk to the owner and convince her to do some sort of joint photoshoot, her with her silver GTi on black steels and me with my black GTi on silver steels. Cool! nerd.gif

Cheers biggrin.gif

That's pretty sexy.

Ever fix your good lookin' wheels?
Uwe
The black steelies looked a lot better. These are looking... just ordinary.

Not sure if you care much, but your number plate is visible, although admittedly illegible in that pic.

Thnaks, yes I looked hard at that picture and even magnified it to 200% but decided it was illegible enough to warrant posting the image with no editing. Cheers though! thumbs_up.gif

When the HQ images are posted, hopefully this weekend, I will blank the plates as I usually do smile.gif

Yes. Pictars. *wink,wink*

P.S. I should ask, is she hot?

P.P.S. The silver wheels look a lot better than the black steelies, imo.

Quick picture from earlier today, needs a wash methinks!!

And yes, I left my lights on, oops! canadian.gif
Mr b00st
G60's are pretty hot on a car that small.

I'll have to see if i can find the pics of the dark blue MK2 Jetta Coupe with widened G60 steels i have floating around.
