Be happy you got yours out, some people don't take my advice and put them off because they think i'm scamming them out of $1200. A couple of months later they come back in excrutiating pain demanding I remove them. If I could speak my mind I would call them ignorant, but since I can't do that I smile and say "Sure thing, anything to make you feel better because you're my patient and I want to do whats best".
Were you put on Nitrous Oxide? Are you bleeding a lot? I'm sure your dentist told you this, but don't drink anything for around 24 hours, or at least until tommorow because you'll dislodge the blood clot and get Dry Socket. You won't be able to chw properly for about a week, however after 3-4 days you should be able to chew some foods. i always have my personal favorite list of what to eat to keep patients happy. Here it is for your viewing and tasting pleasure.
Day 1:
Morning Breakfast:
- 2 cups of Apple Juice
- 1 bowl of oatmeal (avoid things with any chewy fruits like raisins or apples) best to buy plain and mix with golden sugar.
- Apple Sauce
Snack:
-Chicken noodle soup (or any soup for that matter, however I highly recommend you abstain from anything with large chuncks of meat or veggies)
NOTE: Cup of Soups are the best bcause they're very portable
-3 glasses of water
Lunch:
- Mashed Potatoes (As much as you want)
- Soup
- Juice/Water
Dinner:
- Mashed Potatoes
- Soup
- Juice/Water
After a few days, when you feel you can chew a bit, try eating some Kraft Dinner. I should also note you might not have as many bowel movements, because of the lack of food, so take some fiber powder should you choose.
If you need anything else please let me know!
