I saw this car on Craigslist and bought it the same day. I was originally going for an Audi A4 but I decided not to make payments for a car, since I am in college and stuff so I bought this . Im so happy with it. It is my first stick shift car and just learned how to downshift yesterday
I know its not fancy or anything but it is more then enough for me to get around

Looks clean, and reasonable mileage. I'm guessing it's a mere 2.slow, but in the lighter MkIII that's not such a bad thing. Hope it serves you well.

its a dub! 2.0L 4cyl engine is very reliable; I abused the hell out of mine and it still made it past over 150K.

8v isn't too underpowered in a light little MKIII at least. Nice little commuter car. shame it's not 16v.

Did I say anything about how much it costs? I just really don't like the MkIII Golf, never have, never will
