Teens promote abstinence with 'Day of Purity'

Thousands of students across the nation plan to wear white T-shirts to school Friday, the day before Valentine's Day, to publicly show their commitment to not having sex outside marriage. They're calling their effort the "Day of Purity," and they will distribute pro-abstinence pamphlets to their peers.
The grass-roots effort is supported by Christian groups nationwide and organized by Liberty Counsel, a conservative religious rights group based in Orlando. It comes as President Bush is pushing in his budget proposal to double federal funding for sexual abstinence programs.
Participants said having the Day of Purity right before Valentine's Day is especially appropriate since teenagers often feel pressure to have sex with their girlfriends or boyfriends on the holiday.

Yes, but I only have ONE white t-shirt, and I had to pick today to wear it. Lousy accidental support...
Oh well, at least it's a Porsche shirt.

I believe in abstinence anyway, so I support this.

Well, I don't think it's a bad thing, but I don't necessarily support it. I suppose one could say "I don't care"...

I wore a black shirt today...Does that mean I would like to do away with abstinence? I think it's a better idea than premarital sex but I'm not a premarital sex enemy.

If they are so afraid of teenagers having sex why don't they spend a little time and effort on sex education instead. Teenagers are going to have sex no matter what.

I second that. I mean c'mon, what if you wait till after your married to have sex and find that your partner is lousy at it? Or if you havn't even seen that area before, has a penis?
I'm all for kids having sex

Plus look at those people at the top, they probably cant get laid so they promote this instead to look cool

I support their support for abstinence. That way, they won't breed and spread their idiotic ideologies.
