I want to burn some songs into an MP3 CD, and have tried using Nero StartSmart. However the problem is that I have a specific order in which I would like the songs to be on the CD, and Nero automatically orders them. There is no feature/button/control which will allow me to bypass this auto ordering. The dumb part is that it also won't allow me to move the songs up or down. I'm fed up and need some help finding a free CD Burning program. Any ideas?

Doesn't Windows Media Player have a built in burner?
*Edit, beat me to it.

You can replace Winamp with WMP/RP/iTunes/WETFmediaPlayer in that quote, and you get the idea...
Now, onto real tools:
EACand
BurrrnIf those are too complicated, try
InfraRecorder.
All free.

BlindWrite is also pretty good. It's free, if I recall correctly.

I completely back up Flaw's answer because it is perfect.
pd, you know why it's keeping it in that order, right? Because when you're burning an mp3 CD, Nero treats it like a data CD, therefore it will preserve the alphanumerical order of the file names.
A tedious solution to that would be to add 01 to your first file, then 02 to the second one, and so forth. There's no special indexing that Nero has for that. The reason why in Audio CD burning you can re-arrange tracks is because you're not just adding files to be burned, you're creating an index out of the tracks that you added.
I'm not sure if any of the burning software that Flaw mentioned can index an mp3 CD, but this is just an insight as to why you're so 'frustrated.'
