No. I take back my previous comment. I use both Mac and PC. I have a Macbook Pro and I have a set partition for each OS. The fact that Windows XP has much more flexability in terms of programs does not outweigh the risks of viruses/spyware/etc. and the overall cheap feel of the OS itself. Vista is a step up from XP, but personally as a user of both operating systems, I still find the Mac OS X operating system to be of much higher quality (not to be confused with Apple's hardware quality... that's a different ball of wax altogether).
Anyway, it just pisses the fuck out of me when people go off blasting the other side (whether it be computers, politics, cars, what have you), without stopping to look at the faults of the side they're on.
When I pick a side in something, I usually have it well thought out and evaluate differences, +'s and -'s included. PC vs Mac is kind of a no-brainer for me (I say "kind of" because Mac doesn't have EVERYTHING I need, therefore the XP partition), but maybe not for others. Different people just need different things when it comes to operating systems, so it's their choice. You NEVER will see me actively trying to recruit people to Mac. I think Apple's "switch" campaign is shitty as hell, and like I said: it's the person's choice.
Also: since when does homosexuality (H.O.M.O, no doubt the motive) have anything to do with what kind of computer you use?
Does that answer your question?
EDIT: On the portrayed "stereotypical mac user" you mentioned: I have never met someone so flamboyant about Macs, but things like this prove that there are PC users out there like that who go for the jugular over disliking a rival computer.
It may not be very funny, but you're helping prove
his point.
