Just got back from seeing Grindhouse and I have to advise everyone who is not overly squeemish to go see it as soon as possible. It is a fucking GREAT time at the movies.

First off, the faux trailers are hilarious and almost worth the price of admission alone. As for the movies themselves they are an absolute blast. Planet Terror makes much better use of the old gritty effects than Death Proof (which almost feels like it could be a typical Tarantino flick and not an attempt at an old grindhouse picture) and gets into the action fast.
Death Proof takes a little longer to get going but you'll still enjoy every minute if you're a fan of Tarantino dialogue. It also features a fucking great car chase with some exceptional stunt work.

Overall I preferred Death Proof out of the two but it was a close call. 5/5

Trailors definitely lured me in, and I'm glad to hear that this movie didn't disappoint!

I love Quentin Tarantino. His work is definitely not run-of-mill. The only film of his that I couldn't get into was From Dusk Til Dawn. It wasn't edgy enough like Pulp Fiction. You know when your on-the-edge-of-your-seat in the scene when Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) gets that adrenaline shot in her heart. That was great.

Anyway, I can't wait to see this flick.

Tarantino's Death Proof = one of the GREATEST car chases OF ALL TIME!

EVERYONE MUST GO WATCH THIS MOVIE!

Especially the 2nd movie. Tarantino's Death Proof. It's got old school Chevy Novas, Dodge Challengers, and Chargers! And it seriously has one of the BEST CAR CHASES EVER! He seriously outdid himself. I never knew he was capable of doing car chases but holy **** that was awesome.

Hahaha, I really want to see Grindhouse.

We didn't get the Hobo with a Shotgun trailer here in NY I was sad. Death Proof ROCKED. Makes me want an old muscle car, haha. Planet Terror was good, too; Rose McGowan is a babe, but some of it was really gross. Although the worst/goriest/etc part for me wasn't even in the movies, it was in the Thanksgiving trailer (the cheerleader? yeahh... ow.) I LOVED how Tarantino put himself in both movies. GROSS.

Grindhouse = absolutely epic. I love how they used the same cast (albeit with some people getting only bit roles) in both movies, and even some of the same sets (the hospital for example). Did anybody else notice when Kurt Russell made reference to "Big Kahuna Burger" in Death Proof?
