there's a ton of really good cars out there that are somehow way underappreciated. could be due to price, timing, etc.. etc..
i'll start it off. Volvo C70 Coupe. BEAUTIFUL car, yet sooo underappreciated.

That C70 looks sweet. Those aren't stock wheels are they?
I agree on the Hyundai comment. My friends got a 92 Sonata, and it's got no rust 150k+, and we beat it to shit, hitting stuff and jumping it. And the earlier Hyundai's are where Hyundai got their bad name. Driven a few new ones and they're quite nice. My uncle's a mechanic and he says they're pretty damn reliable now.

The Deleron was amazing. They never really had enough power however but there are a lot of things you can do with them now if you have the money. Also major props to Mr. Deleron too because he was a tall guy and he made this little sports car for tall people. It was extremely roomy for a 2 seater.

Im going to say the Porsche 944 Turbo, Pontiac Fiero GT (87/88) and Hyundai Tiburon GT V6.
The 944 Turbo and 88 Turbo-S (which became the 89 standard turbo) has to be one of my favorite cars. I owned an '86 and can honestly say its the car I miss the most. In todays market they arnt expensive at all, one just sold at a dealer in Pittsburgh for $8k with 80k miles. Back in the 80's it was very fast... today its still fast, 0-60 in 6 seconds (5.5 for the S and 89 turbo). Not bad for a reliable, comfortable $8-15k sports car (and I never brought up the aftermarket either).
The 87/88 Fiero GT. OK...I know it was under powered and I know it didnt handle as its looks suggested (i owned one) but it was still a fun car. It looked nothing like the GM's of that time not to mention the mid engine layout and plastic body and that nice big wing that matched the body lines perfectly. The interior was very comfortable and roomy. The dash wasnt the usual straight line that GM was using on the other cars. This was a car that GM should have spent more time with but ended up leaving it for dead. Its a shame too because with more power and a little suspension tweaking they could have beat the Corvette (ya, like they would do that)
Hyundai Tiburon GT V6, It has nice lines, aggressive styling, nice power and suspension but its a Hyundai and sadly its not cool to own a Hyundai so alot of people are going to miss out on this car.
