Well, we'll see in about 15 years if this is another winner. If by then all militia forces are driving one of these, it's as good as the old one...

Here's to hoping this new Hilux can last longer than the older ones.

I'm not usually interested in trucks at all, but after seeing what the Hilux can withstand, things can only get better for the new one hopefully.

Not bad looking at all in my opinion...
I'm not a huge fan of trucks...but this one is a

This is just a TRD-specced Hilux .. The stock one comes with a 102 HP engine (teh weaksauce) . Also , the transfer case is positioned really low on the it , making it vulnerable in offroading .

Isn't that the case with a lot of trucks/SUVs these days?

It will have the option I'm sure...
Traditionally, the Hilux has been the biggest selling pick-up amongst the Saudi bedouins. The Hilux out sold its closest competitor (the Navarra, though it isn't called that here) by a long shot. However, seems they've blundered with the latest model...sales are lacklustre in comparison to previous models, and the competitors from Nissan and Mitsu are becoming increasingly popular. Seems there's the already mentioned problem with the transfer case being too low, the trucks are also too big, too expensive...and pretty ugly too.

Also, in Europe it only comes with that 102 HP engine, while Nissan and Mitsu have about 160-170 HP.
