thanks... i still love my NSX's sorta stock... just wheels, exhaust, and basics... but this one was SPECIFICALLY asked to be built for SEMA 2006 this past october... so of course its got to be a over the top show-stopper... but as extreme as the car is... it mimics all the body lines and ques of the 97-98 season JGTC race cars of japan... just this one lacks the sponsor graphics, centerlock wheels, and few other major race components

What you did to it is great, the bodykit definitely says "jgtc" and I certainly prefer it not being covered with sponsor graphics.

thanks....like i said... its hit or miss with the crowd...but i know what direction i wanted to push this project... with possibly a GRUPPE M sc, sequential shifter, and floor mount pedels on the way...i want to add a little more to the JGTC theme...

i guess if a widebody JGTC replica kit, advan wheels, brembo brakes, recaro seats, etc is in the same class as CIVIC/INTEGS with APC tailigihts, VIS combat kits, and ROTA wheels.... yeah i guess....
krazykohla
Feb 14 2007, 05:17 PM
Just replace all those parts with plastic replicas, glue it together with bondo, and you'll be set!
...oh yeah...and make sure you take all performance parts out, add a huge exhaust and poke holes in your muffler, and DON'T FORGET, none of the parts can match either!

Perhaps I'll leave you alone, a stock NSX is a well performing car. BUT, your downforce body is ricey in that it's all looks and has no performance application. Nothing against your other upgrades though.

It's just a different approach to building a car. I personally am not a big fan about the wide body, but I am kind of a purist, especially when it comes to the NSX. But the car seems to be nicely executed. If you like it then good job. Not how I would have done it, but it is definatly very respectable. What did you do for suspension? Any more pics?
Oh and Rota is not rice! They are cheap, light, strong, good looking wheels. Rice is a style, not a wallet size.

Feb 15 2007, 08:08 PM
oh gag.
i understand it's a SEMA car and they need to be gag-inducing to real enthusiasts...
but an NSX is one of those cars where good is best left alone.
The bodywork is a negative effect on the appearance. But again i guess the pseudotuner crowd would love it. And it's well executed for what it is.

The front was impressive, but the wheels and back l highly dislike. Boost is right about NSX's, they're best left alone. The only modified NSX l've really liked is the one Easton photographed.

Exquisite piece of work, and it looks functional.. Good wheel choice, the people that are hating on the wheels just don't know what they are.
Is it still N/A?
What suspension/coilovers?
What size is that wheel in the back??? Don't see Advan's that wide on the regular..

coilovers are on...

If you have the money (and time) i would suggest uberballer rims on that. They can match any color in any number of places on the rims, from their logo to the rim lips (or whatever you want to call them). In my opinion they can make your car look even sexier than it is already.
heres a
pic of a Gallardo with uberballer rims (they're still kinda new so its hard to find pics)

I'm not super JDM fan and I absolutely love those wheels on your car. The widebody kit is definitely not my cup of tea, and the rear looks flat out bad, but really the rear aside that car is awesome.
