I'm looking for weekend/PT work and I came across this at a bunch of job sites (jobbank, craigslist etc)

Have a passion for cars? Auto Detailers required for 2007 Auto Show. Many shifts available between Feb. 10-25 (day, evening, weekends). Duties include washing, polishing and vacuuming vehicles. Be prepared for repetative movement and to be on your feet for entire shift. Beware if you have allergies, chemical sprays are used to clean the cars. This is a good way to make some easy money, since it is a temporary gig. Serious candidates only, professionalism required because you will be in the public eye! Please send resume or information and you will be contacted for an interview.

I thought it was really cool, I think you'd get to see a whole buncha models and there wouldn't be insane crowds.. maybe you can even take pics without other stupid people getting in the way. You can check the job sites I listed if you're interested... I didn't apply, but I thought some of you might be interested.

I realize this can be interpreted as spam or whatever... but that was not my intent. Im not trying to get anyone to do anything... this is just a heads up.

Most of the "auto show detailers" are not detaliers... they are temps that just use a little QD and a rag to wipe fingerprints off the cars.... head.gif

I know that... but for some mundane labour you get to check out all of the cars without any of the crowds!

Well, the down side being that you'll be assigned a few cars and have to stand by them for the entirety of the show.

I wanna be the guy who DRIVES the cars onto the show floor.

This would suck if you got assigned stuff like the new Corolla.
