One year ago, this is what it was...practical, boring, a small amount of off-the-factory line flair (Special Edition package).

1 year to the date after I bought the car, I was at Target and came out of the store to find that someone had given it a nice little Happy Birthday tap:

After this week it will have a new spoiler, trunk lid, bumper, tail lights, and badges.
Marien
That's a nasty dent. I hate it when people don't take care of other people's things

Man that sucks. At least your car doesn't look like b0mb3r's though.

Hey you know what? Why don't you go and shit up another thread you pre-pubescent Ferrari worshipping +1ing waste of space faggot? Dragging in someone else's loss into a thread is one of the dumbest things you could ever do and its a paramount example of your idiocy. Why don't you do everyone a favor and drink bleach, and maybe play a game of "How long can I dodge cars on the interstate?" while you're at it.
Halflifehavock13
Do you have what parts you are adding on picked out yet? Post some links.

That was harsh. He's right though, b0mb3r's life probably sucks right now, and the last thing you need to be doing is rubbing it in.
Diesel
whoa Dakian. chill out. i think he meant it's a good thing it's NOT as bad as Bomber's. he wasn't being mean.
DakianDelomast
But he's trying to belittle Mogul's thread by posting bomb3r's which is an absolutely retarded thing to do. You can't compair loss like that.

...seriously?

1) i'm 20, not pre-pubescent, thanks.
2) i do not worship Ferrari, i think they are a fantastic example of race-bred, cutting-edge, history-driven, automotive greatness.
3) my apologies for agreeing with what people say in threads
4) i have sympathy for this guy, and although i know a dent sucks, i was just saying at least it wasn't 14 grand worth of bad luck. and i was sympathetic with bomber too. i know it sucks to wreck a car, i've done it.
5) no. grow up and deal with it, you're the one acting pre-pubescent.
6) in no way was i trying to belittle mogul's loss or rub it in to b0mb3r...i was trying to give him some encouragement by saying "yes that sucks, but it could have been worse"
mogulmonster
LOL, didn't mean to start a flame-fest. It's cool, I'm insured, so everything is paid for. wink.gif
DakianDelomast
Pent up rage.

Sorry Mogul.
Mr b00st
that's a shame mogul, hope the body shop does a good job with it.

Sucks about your car. Aside from that, how ya been, old timer? biggrin.gif
clarkma5
That first pic actually makes it look decently stylin'.

Man mogul that sucks ass. Probably some woman jabbering away on her cellphone in her big ass suv while backing up and slapping her kids in the face. Talk to Target, see if they have video survellence of the parking lot and see if you can see who hit you. Obviously it was an suv since your tail light is smashed up pretty high.

The worst thing is the person probably didnt even know she hit you and there were probably witness to it who didnt even bother to leave you a little note or something "License plate whatever hit your car"
leif
I bloody well hate people who ding other people's cars and just bugger off...its the ultamate act of social irrisponcibility (save a hit and run involving a person).
D-rock240
Damn, sorry to see that. I usually park far away from everybody and I was still angry when some lady and her family hit my car door and tried to play it off. I had to chase em down yelling "excuse me", as soon as they saw me walking towards the car they hightailed it into the store (this was in a Best Buy parking lot)

Glad to hear insurance is covering it, I like your style Civic better than the new ones myself.

Doing well. Got a new job, so haven't had much time for the forums or anything. Things are settling down and I'm able to slack off here and there. wink.gif

I did get to see it on the tape, but they didn't get a license plate. I was too far to the side. It was a newer 4-door Toyota Tundra. Didn't look like it even hurt her truck.

Was this what you traded the CV for? cry.gif I'm to the point now with my truck that I don't care what happens to it.

Dude, Im sorry to see that sort of thing happen. It's nothing major but I know how you feel. 3 weeks ago I parked across the street from my house at around 2 in the morning. The next day I walk out to my car and someone scrapped up along side my rear fender taking off some paint and leaving wierd gill like shapped gashes in it and left no note (of course). I have some idea as to the car that hit mine. It was like a 02 tacoma or something becuase it was parked behind me the morning I came in.

About 3 years ago someone backed into my previous car and smashed in the front headlight assembly, quarter panel and hood. I was able to (For the most part) pound out the damage and a quick repaint of a similar color covered most of the damage. I couldn't afford to actually get it repaired but lucky for me I only had the car for a few more months.

So to all the people out there who have hit a parked car but didn't leave any sort of note you can just emot-fuckoff.gif
Phix
I don't have any first hand experiences but two of my friends do.

One guy who works at FutureShop was finishing up his shift at around 9:30pm and when we went outside to the parking lot he found his car all smashed up on the left side. Huge, huge, HUGE dents. No smashed glass or anything like that. But it looked like somebody took a fucking sledgehammer to it.

Another guy had his car parked on the street in front of his house. He comes out one day to find somebody kicked off his passenger side window. Wasn't a car either seeing as how his passenger side was next to the curb. Fucking punk kids.

We still have the old CV! I'm currently beating the hell out of it to see what kind of abuse it will take. It's worth all of about $250, so I don't care about trade-in. I sold the Aurora last winter, after I got the Honda.

Anyway, the CV will be retired soon, and the wife wants a Durango or a Tahoe, so we'll most likely get one of those.

Yeah, but they get the same mileage as the Crown Vic does and I need something to pull the boat. So, when it's not acting as a grocery-getter, it will be a work horse. smile.gif
mogulmonster
Well, at pretty close to the 3-year from purchase date, this happened:

I really do like this car and wish people would stop hitting me. laugh.gif This time it was a Silverado. T-boned me as he was pulling out of a gas station across a 4-lane road.

While we're at it, I've added this to the family. The Aurora and Crown Vic are both gone. Got a '00 Durango R/T for the wife, but mostly because it pulls the boat and camper very nicely.

Phix
holy shit, another old member has come back!

Mmm, donut wheel. Now with the Durango YOU can be the one doing the t-boning!

If you're pulling anything with that Durango - plan on replacing the transmission. Trust me - ours went through two. Our neighbor went through one as well. And had shitty brakes (Dodge must be used to these complaints by now). Maybe get an external stacked plate trans cooler or something.

I guess this is why Dodge is doing so well in the market...

...oh wait.
mogulmonster
Yep, already got a trans cooler on it and help springs for the rear end. It's been a pretty darn good vehicle so far.
