Well, here is where I spend 60 hours a week now...my lab. Beleive it or not this is a state of the art molecular genetics lab, which focuses its studies on membrane transport proteins.

I think its funny how normal and boring it looks...where are the curly pieces of glassware? where is the CRAY supercomputer? this is our supercomputer

its a POS 300mhz Pentium, with 2gb of HDD space, which sucks...and the IT guys wont upgrade it cuz they say "it does everything you need" which is BS...

This is my work-space...its nicer than it looks...i have very large windows to the right of this photograph...but it was really sunny...so I wasnt able to show them.

And anyway that is my new lab, its a nice lab, Just thought some of you may be interested in seeing the contrast between the real reality and the hollywood reality...

my lab has laptops lying around on the floor everywhere ....

and yes, that does look like a LSD lab.

Wow, what a crappy lab.

Dude, my 10th grade chem lab looked more high-tech than that...probably was too...

I was about to say the same thing...that looks like crap :-/ no offense. 0% of that lab looks "state of the art". Maybe I'm really lucky with the equipment and facilities i have at my school now.

My lab is on the 2nd floor of this bad-larry:

No inside shots.

reminds me of high school

What exactly does your lab produce to receive money in exchange for.
BankieVR6
the lab is only as good as its researchers, no matter how high tech. looks a lot like our high school labs too.

we produce information on the membrane transport proteins of pathogentic bacteria...primarily transport proteins which "eflux" antibiotics from the bacterium, conveying antibiotic resistance.

BTW a lab dosent have to have all sorts of machines which go "PING" to be state of the art. We are one of the top Transport Protein labs on the Continent.
