Yeah, so my Start menu/taskbar, whatever the fuck it's called, just up and vanished...any ideas on how to get it back? By hitting the windows button, I can get the Start menu to pop up, but the bar makes no reappearance.

pull your mouse cursor down as far as you can and hold the left click and drag it up.

Ok, no. I mean as in it's there but not there. Like it's supposed to be there, but it doesn't show on the screen.

This is what's happening.

or ctrl-alt-del, look for explorer (should not be there), file->new task, type explorer

I've rebooted several times, the taskbar stays for a minute or so while the computer is booting up, and then disappears. Explorer is also functioning...

Wait, I think my object dock fucked up...

EDIT: Yeah, fixed it. Goodbye object dock...
