i bought the logitech keyboard and mouse duo a couple of years ago, and it has the mx700. if i were to get the laser mouse, would i need to keep the old docking station from the mx700 just to communicate with the keyboard or would the g5 docking station recognize my keyboard as well? because i want to get a laser mouse soon but it would be silly for me to have 2 docking stations.

G5 is a wired mouse.

I'll stick to my "Laser" (read: Optical) mouse.
I remember when optical mice first came out, everyone thought they were lasers. Dumbasses...

I have a G5 now and I love it to death. Getting the G7 for mom cause her MS optical mouse is dead.

I use the MX1000, and it does the job just fine. I think it's cheaper now too since I'm sure a newer one has come out.

I'm guessing most people don't even know that laser is an acryonym.
