awesome video .. what kind of engines are in those cars? no, that isn't a sarcastic question .. i'm quite curious.

The ones in the vid are electric high torque motor i have one my self but not that high of TQ mine is set for high speed. You can also go the way i started into Rc and thats with a single stroke Nitrus powered rc car. The one i have now will do 85mph and 0 to 60 in about 2 sec. It is faster then my friends evo 8.

85 Mph...? Where the hell can you race that shit?

Yea it gets hard to find places. But my friend who owns a lot of land has a really nice 2mile long road very new so the road is smooth. but mine is slow compared to his, his tops out around 120 but he has put well over 3k into his rc car

Awesome!

i did this with my electric but i did it the cheap way and just put pvc pipe on as the tyres. Its heaps of fun.

it's called a hobby.

Drifting is pretty darn tough in real cars, must be a lot harder via remote control.

Although I bet that slippery floor helps.
z0ne
i think it would be easier in RC cars, frederf. i mean, just press the trigger and steer into the turn? if i'm missing something, please inform me.
skr
You can do the same thing on tarmac. It's what they do with the tires. Ive seen demonstrations, and it seems easy.. well at least the people controlling the cars make it look easy.. lol. It's a strip of plastic-ish material that goes over the inner tread of the tire.

Totally uncalled for and very idiotic. There are jokes and then there is complete stupidity.

Not actually getting a feel of the steering wheel in your hands and the sense of the car moving, it's like trying to land a remote control plane. Much harder than real life. I should add the huge difference in power to weight ratio for RC cars should also help.

porsche944 and i sort of share a nitro RC car, its AWD and it isnt terribly difficult to drift. it takes a few tries to get a feel for the trigger, but once you get it down, its pretty easy to modulate the gas carefully enough to hold a slide. obviously the kids in the vid spend far too much time doing it, but on a scale of 1-10 in difficulty, drifting an RC car is about 3 and drifting a real car is about 8. (on pavement). on snow, real cars are about a 1 tongue_orig.gif IM SICK NASTY AT SNOW DRIFTING BITCHESSSSSSS
z0ne
we need to make fake snow when i come in the summer tongue_orig.gif
