Part of me is like "wow...this is one sexy car"
then another part of me is like "so since when did ferrari start ripping off the Corvette..."

It looks better than it did in the studio pic, Ferrari press pictures allways have a black backdrop which dont allways favor the car.
And when I saw the press pics of the fron 3/4 perspective The C-pillar seemed fussy but looking at pics i can see it is infact a Flying Buttress and the rear and side glass is seperate creating a channel for the air flow, quite clever and negating the need for a wing.
If I were in the position to buy a GT Ferrari i would go for the 612 over this.

you can tell that they inteded it to bear a familial resemblance to the 612 but appear different but...despite all the detail changes, it just looks way too much like a 612 to me overall.

I think this is one of the ugliest Ferrari's released to date. It doesn's say Ferrari at all, in fact, it doesn't say much at all. The profile is SLR-esque, but doesn't work here. ugh.

Feb 14 2006, 09:18 PM
The vents are fussy. The rear-end is ugly, as are the star wheels. I'll reserve my judgement till I actually see one because I hated the 612 in pictures but it looked great in real life.

Man I reckon Lambo's gonna start stealing more and more of Ferrari's target customers. Not like in the old days where they were too impractical.

I've gotta say that although it's definitely not one of the best looking cars Ferrari has made, it's still pretty good looking. Granted i don't particularly like the back (it looks too high/big or something), its still got style. Ferrari seems to be trying to change as much as possible without straying from their trademark shapes and lines. Although this Ferrari is definitely a change from previous Ferrari design, it still stands out as a Ferrari in my opinion. I'm hoping it will do what the F430 did to me and grow more on me after a short while. On a last note - i think it looks very different/better in some colors than others overall. Not bad, but i'd still rather a 550 or 575, or even a 612.

i gotta agree with that last comment, i think that weird side vent coming from the front almost ruins it. if you take that off, it looks 10 times better overall.

Relatively speaking, 10x better on this car still manages to place it in the 'hideous' category.

I just re-examined the Buttreses on the back, and realized the are not attached on the side...thats a bit of a weird styling element.
the more I see it...the more it looks like a C6 to me...Which is a disapointment.
