Wannabe rich assholes, wannabe rappers, wannabe playaz. It seems to appeal to anyone who listens to rap and is middle class and spends more on their cellphone and jewelry than rent. The current c class is such a shitty car too. I mean it is really just garbage in every way possible. If you're going to be a tru playa 4 real while you're going to community college and working as a telemarketer you might as well hit debt really hard and lease a 3 series.

If you don't think the C-class is a piece of shit then you've either never driven one or you know very little about cars. The interior is trash, it's ugly, it's slow, it's unreliable. It's what happens when luxury car brands try and make a cheap car and cut all the corners but forget to lower the price to Korean levels, and the C-class isn't worth much more than most Kias. Hell, i'd take a Kia over a C-class, atleast they're pretty reliable now.
hmm...I actually like the C-class. Seemed a bit artificial to drive, and the interior was pretty nasty considering the price. Other than that I like, even the styling (provided it has some decent rims.)

Nothing is more Piece Of Shit than this car right here. Doesn't feel luxurious to drive around in at all, and the car feels like it wants something to go wrong, but you just can't put your finger one it. It's like when you first get a cold, you can't quite put your finger onif your getting sick or not.

I for one do not consider the current c-class a piece of shit. Certainly not my style and not the best car in its segment, but the later model C230 and C350 Sports are up there with the A4 or 3-series in a lot of ways. I'd take one over the aging S60 or the unfortunately inferior 9-3, even if I do hate their...target demographic.

The only C-class that can be compared against the M3 is the C55 AMG, and even then they have different...characters.
The M5 is so far beyond the C-class that it's just ridiculous to even mention it.

i seriously think there is like a competition going on to see who can say the most off-topic, retarded pointless shit on as many forums as possible before they get mailbombs. lately there have just been some crazy ass people showing up here. its too bad because new people would really help this place. sometimes i just know what is going to be said when a topic is started because there are members here who respond to everything and ive come to learn their opinions. not to say that things get boring, but sometimes a little variety (from an intelligent 3rd party) would be much appreciated.

Mercedes has made a lot of strides on the front IMO...the current C-class is priced very competitively against the 3-series instead of being thousands more, and offers similar or slightly better standard equipment and technical specification. Of course, the C-class isn't as good to drive as the 3, but they've made steady improvements to the current gen C-class over the last 6 years meaning that it is a lot better than it ever was.

Yeah, they are poor but I think the worst is over. After hitting an all time low roundabout 2003 I think they're making a bit of a comeback. At least the initial feeling of quality has returned; hopefully the mechanical reliability will follow soon afterward.
I have no idea why I'm being so charitable to Mercedes today btw, but I just am.

I heard it from my uncle who used to own an RS4 but had to sell it when he left to work oversea's. Anyway long story short he took a CLS for a test drive (it wasn't the Amg version) and said he didn't like it so I suggested the new RS4.

You dont seem to have the mental capacity to compare luxury sedans other then BMW and MB. l was merely stating that the C class is poor when compared to other luxury cars within the same price range (How a car should be compared).
This link should help you see how poor the C class is when shown statistically.
At an average of $32,000, there are much better choices.

I was comparing them because the 3-series is widely regarded as the best car in its segment. I was also comparing them because they are very similarly priced.
For the record, the A4 3.2 is also in the same price range, but a lot of that is because Audi's option packages suck so you have to buy $5000 worth of options to get the one thing you want.
As for the IS, the C350 sport has many advantages. 1) It has a proper 6-speed manual. 2) It weighs less. 3) It's cheaper. I don't see how the Merc is "so poor" when compared, unless all you care about is the power ratings...
God I feel dirty defending a Mercedes like this.
