Is it around the current 4 cylinder 160HP? It's an LX if that matters....
clarkma5
No, it's much less than the current car. 125 HP out of a 2.2, to be precise.
Diesel
i had a grey one! and yeah.. 125 is a very optomistic number.. more like.. 100-110
clarkma5
Well, 125 is the number that edmunds said it had, so that's the number I gave.
fiber optic
Edmunds says 125

I would subtract 20%, which would make it 100 HP even.

Yeah, thats what I figured, you lose 20% in an automatic, but how much do you lose in a paddle shift?
clarkma5
The same as in a manual, so 10-15%

most paddle shifts are automatics with a manual valve body, only the high dollar ones like ferrari are true manuals. BUT normally when you put paddle shift in a car, you also give it a good transmission with sportier gears, lightweight internals ext, so they can come very close to true manual transmissions in terms of efficiency.

Add a couple of stickers and you can up it by 5hp.

yeah, I heard the Type-R stickers each add 20hp! tard.gif

Seriously, does horsepower in an automatic versus manual make a difference?

Yeah, because power is lost. When someone says WHP it means horse power at the wheels, if someone says BHP is means brake horsepower. Power is lost through an automatic transmission, and an automatic transmission doesn't redline it's self.

I don't consider automatics with paddle shifts (like tiptronic in some cars) to be "paddle-shift" gearboxes. Paddle-shift gearboxes have a dry clutch, like in the BMW SMG, Ferrari F1 System, Audi DSG, etc.
CoolGuyWithHat
That DSG shit is insane.
DakianDelomast
DSG sucks cock.

Oh whoops.
