long story short, last night i got head from some girl. today i got a call from one of my friends saying that the girl i got head from was talking, last week, about a cold sore she got. to my knowledge, she didnt have anything, like any cold sores visible, when i got with her. so what i'm asking is .. am i infected? i *cleaned off* with soap and water twice, once last night and once today in the shower, and i've been googling about it all afternoon. HELP. PLEASE.

i believe cold sores and herpes are essentially the same virus, just that they are different in that, cold sores is like the type that affects the mouth and genital herpes is the type that affects the genitals. So if it really was a coldsore, then i dun think it is a problem, but it also can be herpes which she got from suckin another guys dick.

My suggestion would if you really think it might be a problem, go to a doctor and get checked.

Okay, you NEED to go get checked out. If you're not willing to go to your real doctor, go to Planned Parenthood. They can do STD testing for a nominal fee. Just tell them the date of the incident, in case it takes a while after it for the test to be accurate.

But there's some good news. If she had a canker sore instead of a cold sore in her mouth, you're totally fine. Canker sores are ulcers within the mouth that are quite painful. They cannot be spread by kissing or sex though. Cold sores are caused by the herpes virus, and can be spread by kissing or oral sex.

The bad news is, if you have contracted herpes, you're in trouble. It can be treated, but, because it's caused by a virus, there is NO cure.
