Went down to home depot today to get some hardware things for work. As per my usual I glance over at the BMW dealer to see if I can spot a M. Well the BMW dealer moved next door and in it's place was a Jaguar/Land Rover dealer. I shoulda checked it out.

On a side note on our drive down to Florida I saw a XJR in Atlanta. Photography by my co-driver.

I don't think that's an XJR because that's the new model of XJ (the aluminum one) and I don't think there's an R version of that yet.

Doesn't matter, they're just glorified Fords.

Well, I might say that about the X-type and S-type, but the XJ doesn't deserve that title. What fords do you know have an aluminum monocoque?

I'm not in love with Jaguar, but some of what they do I respect. I definitely appreciate their attempts at lowering weight.

I see XJ's so much here that i don't even care about them

Really? And how did you come to that insightful conclusion?

The XJR is available and has a 390-hp V8 engine. Price starts at $74,995 USD.

No, the XJR uses a 4.2 liter aluminum V8, not the Mustang's 4.6.
