Full Version: "Formal" event
Here is my dumb question for the day. I have my graduation ceremony for the fire academy coming up and when asked about what to wear my Captain said "Lets make it formal" and that was it. Does formal mean like shirt and tie kinda thing?
Pretty much. And if he specifically said black tie event, get out your penguin suit.
suits and dresses = formal
speaking of formal, my school had a dance a while back. They said to dress "semi-formal". wtf is that? you're either formal or you're not.

semi formal is just based on looking above average.
semi formal usually means a nice shirt with jeans or khakis and some cool shoes.
