out of all the ugly on that bike, you chose to mention the tires?
TrueSlideXL
Anyone notice how he gets on the brakes before he falls? I thought you are supposed to increase speed in a situation like that?

How can you tell he's using the brakes?

Anyhow, yeah you never brake in the middle of a turn.

In the second pic, his front tire isn't moving.

nor is it in the first.

yes it is, look at the tread. the tread is obscured by motion blur in all but the middle pic.
DakianDelomast
Its not locked, its lowsiding. The tire is actually off of the ground.
TrueSlideXL
I was really looking at the handlebars, where you can see him depressing the handle with a finger. But these are all astute observations you offer.
DakianDelomast
Left side is clutch, right side is front brake. That is if I remember it properly....

The brakes are on the right. Hes grabbing the clutch in the second image.
DakianDelomast
Ha I was right!
TrueSlideXL
Nobody is doubting you could be right. But don't you think he was going kind of fast? What does it take for a wheel to look stopped in a frame like that?

Harleys have the front brake lever on the right hand side. This guy pulled the clutch making him tip over even quicker.

Even if it's off the ground, it wouldn't instantly stop spinning. The wheel is stopped because he panicked and pulled both the front brake and clutch levers.
TrueSlideXL
So where are the pictures from?
DakianDelomast
It would instantly stop. Hell he was braking hard enough to lowside it he's braking hard enough to stop the wheel in midair.
PBB
No idea, I've had 'em for a while and I found them whilst cleaning out my picture folders.

Takumi didn't ride a motorcycle. He didn't get that memo.
