no doors, no air bags, no roof, no styling. of course its going to beat them. it weighs 1500 pounds. put the CGT's 612 horsepower V10 in a 1500 pound stripped down chassis and we'll see whos going faster. the thing probably has manual everything, no radio... i mean come on, not many sports car consumers would buy it because its TOO stripped.

So it's basically an Ariel Atom with a high-torgue output electric motor?

at least this one doesn't have ugly wheels to save resistance or breaks to regenerate electric power

Yeah electic motors are horrible for automotive applications because they make all their torque at the bottom of the RPMs but they run out of steam REALLY quickly.

You can only drive 150 miles on one charge, and for $150,000.00, I would buy a REAL car.

Except without the awesome sound, the range, the reliability, or the supercharger sucking air in next to your ear.

Pfft, just replacing the engine in an Ariel Atom doesn't count as making a car. I love the 0-60 in 4.5s Venturi Fetish that Jason drove in Monaco on the last season of Fifth Gear:

What do we know about Atom's reliability? or this electric car?

It's a Honda motor Mark.
LORD KNOWS HONDA CAN NEVER MAKE AN UNRELIABLE ENGINE.
