Download (34.1 megs, quicktime):
http://www.hardscience.net/rendezvous20_04.movRead up on it:
http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2005/Rendezvous.shtmlIt's a 1976 film shot in the early morning in Paris wherein a Ferrari 275GTB races through the streets. It's got the ferocity of Getaway In Stockholm with the artistic purity of Climb Dance and the old-school Ferrariness of Le Mans. It's a brilliant video!
If the video goes down for whatever reason, I'll upload it to my own host once I get back to my own computer back down at schol (which will be sunday evening). In the meantime, enjoy, and cross your fingers that the download will still be available.

It's small enough it can be uploaded in one file to rapidshare.de if worst comes to worst.

Eh, screw that, I've got a bunch of webspace and bandwidth, I don't need any of those free things

I'd install an FTP client on this POS computer before I bothered going to a free service.

The sound is defenatly not the sound of this car, it doesn't match the speed/cornering. And it seems the movie is somewhat slow. But nice to see Paris in this view!

Yeah, a lot of the sound seems added/modified. The engine noises are pretty good for the most part, but the tire noises sound pretty fake.

Outstanding. I've seen clips of this film before but never in it's entirety like this.
Way better that the 'Getaway in Stockholm' series, in my opinion.
What a nut bar this guy is. I can't believe he did not crash.
Beautiful sound out of that Ferrari! Wow.

Ima gonna have to disagree with you guys on the sounds being added, listen thru the tunnels, depends on the gearing too. Im going to look into this.

remember, this was filmed in the days before Video...we're talking a guy with a film camera and a reel to reel recorder (or some other kind of audio recording device) so sound sync may not be as good as we're used to!

haha i just pictured a bright red ferrari driving at 100+ through the open roads of paris with a huge, two-reeled sound recorder sitting in the front seat and the tape flying in the wind.
