sub box tends to slide around in the trunk alot

any suggestions on what i can do???....i have it kind of rigged up with bungee cords right now but it still moves around

i also dont want to drill into the metal of the trunk

i know this is going to sound stupid but, depending on how heavy it is, what about VELCRO?

you can buy strips of it at an office supply store and just line the bottom of the box with it for maximum grippage

use wood and screws. i'm sure you have some kind of cover over your jack and spare that you can drill through and then use whatever you put on there as anchors.

Friend of mine uses a semi-soft rubber mat in his 2.5RS' trunk. Works pretty well until he takes a sharp corner fairly quickly then the box tends to slide a little bit.

Get some L shaped brackets, and screw that sucker down.

Seriously. Thats what I did a bagillion years ago when I had a system.

What about the roll-up meshed rubber-foam mats (Dollar stores, Canadian Tire, etc). Easily cut with scissors, and you can colour match too. You know the kind... people put them in dashboards so that cellphones and kleenex boxes stick etc...

Others have mentioned it. Use an L bracket, velcro or take the box out. Your call. Depends on how much work you want to put into it.

Personally, I would have done a false floor and be able to use my trunk. That's just me. In your case, the best solution is the L bracket. Do you want to drill into the trunk area somewhere?

I hate bazooka. Infinity's basslink sub is a far better preamplified sub (the one I have).

Luckly for me my box is big enough and heavy enough with the 2 12' so it doesnt slide around. But i would think the best bet is to screw it down with the L shaped brackets somehow. Did you dynamat your trunk, im buying some real soon and I have been told that it would make it sound better.

and even 350 isn't that much. certainly not enough to be amazed about, seeing as how plenty of cars come with that stock these days. it was a lot in 1960 though

350 hp is enough to snap the WRX's pansey transmission in half though, and please, don't refer to the 60s. They measured HP different back then and their actual hp ratings were 2/3 of what they published.
