I used to get anywhere from 15-20 Junk e-mails a day at my hotmail address.
Now... I get like 1-3 a day... What the hell happened? I did not change my preferences... is this just a hotmail thing... or are other people noticing this??
In the past 4 days I have received 769 spam e-mails. I am not exagerrating. Because of this, I have some intense spam filtering going on, and am in the process of migrating to a new e-mail address.

I also Use Hotmail and I used to get loads of spam
Hotmail must have set up some better filtering down at their end of the line
Who doesn't love spam ?

I monitor the email and spam filtering as part of my job. I have to filter through anwhere from 1500 - 4000 emails per day, to make sure there are no false-positives.
On my personal accounts, I get very little spam, because I have an account set up for anything I know will generate spam.

My friend Rob spent weeks doing nothing but signing up Branden for spam...it absolutely killed branden's e-mail address, if I'm not mistaken. He got hundreds of spams a day from that. And he still gets weird catalogs and magazine subscriptions thanks to that little prank.

0 - No joke. I never put my e-mail address in it's true format so it could be picked up by spam bots. Normally, I put it like this:
me [at] viper007bond [dot] com
I do get a couple a month at spam [at] viper007bond [dot] com, but that's only 'cause it's my catchall account and I think it's trying to send e-mails to like omfgblag [at] viper007bond [dot] com and such.
