I cannot vote on the site because I am not from America.
STi. But in my own opinion, the Infiniti G35 Coupe wins it.
RX-8 Leading..... Another question about rotary engines.... how good are they on gas? My friend had an older one and he said it was worse then his truck.

Rotaries get awful mileage. The renesis gets ~18 MPG out of a 1.3 liter. (That's roughly 13 liters per 100 km, if my math is correct...)

I am very impressed by the RX-8's innovative and practical design. Also, it is one of those rare high performance vehicles that is still relatively affordable.
It looks like a coupe but has the versatility of a sedan, featuring a smooth revving (to the 9000 rpm redline) normally aspirated Renesis rotary.
The exterior styling is highly unique .... as is the interior.

911! STI a close second(no radio? i mean seriously, does it really save THAT much weight?)

Not only that, but all the wiring's still there too, even if you don't get the radio option. Subaru really just skipped the stereo to make the car cheaper so it wouldn't completely outprice the Evo.

EEEEER Clark you lose trivia for the day. Subie skipped the stereo to keep weight down and to keep within a certain weight regulation within Japan.

But it doesn't matter in the US, we don't even have an STi under the 2.0 liter limit. The N.A. market STi has completely nothing to do with racing homolgation, so there is no restrictions it had to meet in the first place, because it's just another model.
Consider this: An Evo is $29k, while an STi is $31k. Subaru didn't want that gap to get any bigger, therefore, no stereo, and while they're in the process they could claim to be "hardcore". It's just marketing, really.

I watched this on speed channel this morning. They had Jay Leno and other people drive the cars and give their opinion.

Personaly... none of those cars really "do" it for me.. I mean the Porsche is nice and all... then the 5 series is a nice car with an ugly shell.. The Mazda 8 is kinda a let down. The Z has some weight to loose...
Soooo I guess that leaves me with the STi. I am just excited that they brought that and the EVO to the US... but I think the Vote should be for the STi/EVO because the cars are so simular!

I agree! But it's a close one between the STI and the RX8 for me.
Heart says STI, head says RX8. The RX8 is getting sooooo widely popular.

These 5 cars are also available in Taiwan now....
Price in Taiwan:(Expensive>Cheap)
911 GT3 > 530i > 350Z Roadster > RX-8 > Impreza STi
The Impreza is the best choice in Taiwan I think....
It has 4-doors & AWD & 6MT & Most cheap price & Rally spirits!!
But I chose the GT3....
Because I love Porsches!!
My choice:(Best>Worst)
911 GT3 > Impreza STi > 530i > 350Z Roadster > RX-8

gt3 for me. I love that car so much. Sti would be my 2nd choice because they are such well designed cars.

I had to pick the BMW, not because it looks good (which it doesn't), but because it's one of the most technologically advanced cars on the market.
I love the Subaru WRX STi but I can't say it's a better car than the BMW 5-series.

I don't know why it's the 530i and not the 320 horsepower 545i being voted; if it was the V8 5 series it would undoubtedly have my pick.
ANd where is the 6-series coupe?

Ford did the same thing with the 2000 SVT Cobra R. The car is completely wired for a stereo, it just didn't have one. pointless. at least they shouldn't go through the trouble of wiring it, if they are that obscessed with losing a couple pounds.
or..maybe invest in lightweight stereo technology!?
