If you could get either the 911 S or the Cayman S for free, which one would you get? They both look so damn good its hard... I know at least porschedream is tossing the question in his head.

Cayman S, kind of the sporty-urban car. all the pictures are aronud cities, giving it a young spirited feel.

911 S, they give it the more mountain road look. suggesting it needs a long road to really feel the engine potential.

Mr b00st
Cayman.

Well, FREE I'd got the Carrera S. It has a better cabin (just due to the extra volume) and owning a 911 is dream numero uno for me. But with cost taken into account it would be the Cayman fo' sho.

how much is the Cayman projected to debut at?

$58,900 is the base price for the S, the Carrera S is $81,400...22.5 grand more for 60 more HP, 45 more ft.-lbs. of torque, a few more standard features, and a little more weight (how much more I'm not sure as Porsche has not released specs for the weight of the Cayman yet).

No one could tell the difference anyways so it doesn't matter.

porschedream
Out of the 2 if given for free the 911 S.
BlackJack
i would hit the cayman big time. it looks really hot! wub.gif

i got the R&D mag and it has a whole article about the Cayman S. havent read it yet so ill let you know how it is.
goota
I just like the 911 S more.
camshaft
For free, the 911, there is a reason it cost 22K more, but the Cayman is a much better value.

Don't be h8in.

Still would prefer the 911, but if I actually had to buy one then obviously the Cayman is the better deal.

Carrera S...I love the look and concept of the Cayman...but if its a no-money decision, how could you say no to a 911?
AgaBoogaBoo
When is the Cayman coming out?

I've driven a 996 and the dealership will contact me once they a Cayman in, looking forward to it!
leif

Stop with the hippy analytical adverstising bullshit. It's because of thinking like that we get things like the Aztek. For all intents the 996 is better because you will get more road head from all the golddiggers you meet.

wtf huh.gif

Ps: I had to vote 911 for the no price factor. I think a better question would have included price as a factor. Finallly the boxster isn't just a poor man's porsche, but a real alternative.
Jordan
first of all its not a 996. second of all... head room from gold diggers? what?

Never said it was a 996, read again. The second part obviously went over your head.
