Fuck you duke.

And the Sagaris would be more beautiful if its god damn holes weren't filled in.

Umm, search button?

I was under the impression that some of the holes got filled in because they were flinging mud and stones into the windshield and side windows...so its kinda a copmpromise...the cars still looks like the victim of a crime involving an axe...and debris wont hit you in the head while you drive it!
DakianDelomast
SCREEN MESH. No mud, no stones, and you still get the aerodynamic benefits.
dukenukem
you guys are making a HUUUUGE assumption that the car wont actually break down before even reaching the speeds where the aerodynamics come into play !!

Why has it got excellent reviews in all the tests it has been in then? whistle.gif When are you going to stop digging yourself into a deeper hole with your hearsay, duke? rolleyes.gif

I wish they would have smoothed the car back out if they weren't going to keep the holes open. Its just a travasty of what TVRs are.
White RSX
Sawzall to the rescue.
leif
I like the holes, they may not serve a purpose other than looking cool, which goes against my "form follows function" philosophy, but they visualy seaperate the car from the rest of TVR, and let you know the car is an animal, with out ever seeing it move.
DakianDelomast
No the holes DID serve a purpose of removing high pressure areas that build up at the top of the tires in closed wheel cars.
leif
i should have said "i like the fake holes..."

ya...i saw a programme about how dodge did something like this on their NASCAR's in the 60's and 70's...while making them a styling que on their normal line up...so the competition would think it was just a case of the racer looking more like the street car, and not a seriously effective aerodynamic aid

The reason they sealed them is because of what Jeremy said, and the reason why they didn't smoothen the body out was just plain cost cutting. They are also making a racing version of the Sagaris, with open vents. So they saved the cash by just filling the holes, in stead of a complete redesign...

I still say a screen mesh would have kept the aerodynamic benefits in and the rocks at bay.

that's what I was thinking.
