R&B singer D'Angelo crashes his Hummer H2:

The accident happened just before 8 p.m. on Monday (September 19), when the singer collided with another vehicle, ran off the road and slammed into a fence before overturning.

According to MTV, the singer was flown to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in nearby Richmond by helicopter, where he is currently being treated for injuries.

Apparently, D'Angelo was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. Lynne Sellers was also in his 2003 Hummer, and sustained significant injuries.

He isn't really popular but that is because he actually makes good R&B...his first album (Brown Sugar) is only 10 years old and I still would call it a classic.

He deserves it for the H2 with no seatbelt but don't hate on a guy if you haven't even listened to his music...part of the reason he isn't popular is because he doesn't fit the typical formula for current R&B. He mixes in a lot of jazz & soul elements into his music and that confuses the young suburban white kids

It was news to me...of course, really should of been in the Off Topic forum but I found it an interesting read. If someone feels that a dutch reporter taking drugs on the air is interesting enough to post then I can't see why all the sudden you guys are saying that the R&B singer isn't interesting enough to post about

See...now I know that you guys haven't even listened to this guy. Part of the reason so many people like D'Angelo is because his music is seen as an update of that classic R&B but I guess you guys rather rip on the guy because of what he looks like to you guys.

Hey, no problem there...but when people are saying "You can take your rap/hip hop and shove it where the sun doesn't shine!" even though we are talking about an R&B singer and saying that they like "classic R&B" even though this guy isn't like most mainstream R&B singers then that is messed up. I just thought people here would be a little more knowledgable about music then that...
