If you have an Impreza wagon, or have access to one, here's my question. How substantial are the cargo tie-downs in the cargo area? Are they flimsy things just used to hold grocery-bag-nets? Or are they substantial things, that could hold down heavy cargo to prevent it from flying forward in a crash?

Alright, this is how the cargo hold looks:


And here's a closeup of one of the cargo hooks with my thumb in there for scale:


They look flimsy, but they're sturdier than they look...they could probably retain a pretty substantial load, but they're nowhere near as sturdy as the honkers in my GTI. Definitely more than just grocery bag holders, though. If I had a 25" TV in the back of my WRX I would feel confident holding it down with these.
