We just recently upgraded from 1 mbps download and 128k upload to 3mbps download and 256k upload... i am sharing this internet connection through a wireless-g router, so i want to know my average bandwidth. is there a way to see what kind of download speeds i am getting?

30+ mega bytes is slow?!!?!? anywho... that was a faulty test. i have about 2.6 MBPS when i am sharing the connection. 3.1 when its solitary.

i think some of you are getting bits and bytes mixed up, they are not the same. Kbps is kiloBITS per second, not bytes.
