Rules & Regulations: basically, all mods except ANY MODS UNDER "DRIVETRAIN" and NOS. also, to clarify from last weeks partial confusion, no premade racecars like those from Spoon or any other mod company. also, no racing brakes

The S2000 is a good car to start with, but no racing brakes are bleh.

Stock brakes aren't a major problem on a modded S2k. They scrub off speed surprisingly well, actually.

yeh, they do.. i bought racing brakes to see wot they are like .. they are a bit too skiddish so i uninstalled them.. i like the stock ones better.. and eraser, the point of no racing brakes wasnt only to limit mods, it was that i felt it was unnessisary and would create more of an edge

daaaaamn I had fully modded it and can't do better than 1:29

my professional( ) advice would be to take turns a bit faster, brake later, and really concentrate where your power band is on your tachometer to maximize performance in each gear..

also, question:
how fast do you guys take turn #4? i can only do it at approx 90mph(give or take 2mph). i think i may be taking it too slow and therefore sacrificing time?

you guys should do that driving mission around Laguna with the Ford GT

if you can make it you should get a good time in teh S2000

i tried that mission last night and i missed the front car by like 2sec.. fucken ghey

you cannot make any mistake if you want to be first, i learnt it the hard way

i know i keep putting like one tyre on the sand in one section bc of the stupid fucking car and its super ability to understeer..

Suspension setup is medium-hard. Ride height isn't quite slammed, a bit more camber than default F & R, downforce isn't set to max F & R. Might trying experimenting with the Racing Suspension to see if I can get some more speed.

Surprising that the extra ~50hp using the Original turbo doesn't really make my car that much faster.

I'd own if I had a wheel, but a controller just isn't enough

My speed on turn #4 is around 175 - 180 km/h = 109 - 112 mp/h

@z0ne: It is possible w/o drivetrain mods and/or NOS. Cheating the course just slows you down (i.e. doing a Zanardi @ the Corkscrew). For Christ's sake, you posted the track map of Laguna Seca with the racing line on it. Set up your car so you can follow that line as fast as possible, that's how we're getting our times down.
