Hi, I’m rather a large gadget/tech obsessive, so here are some of the greatest things I am currently looking forward to in the world of TEC.

The Pixel Roller

These guys are fantastic, some of the most interesting thoughts and inventions I've seen in a long time. They are currently working on The Pixel Roller, basically its a hand printer that uses extremely bright UV LEDs to excite phosphorescent ink, basically, if you cover a large surface, like a wall you can paint temporary images onto it, watch the video on the site, it really is fantastic, they are working on an ink version, and I don’t think I have to spell out what that would mean, IE any picture from your computer printed on your wall, or your......car?

Magnitude
http://www.magnetude.fr/

The website is not working yet, but I think this could prove to be a very interesting product. Designed by Nicolas Triboulot, Magnitude is a paint containing fine metal particles making all surfaces sensitive to magnetism. There are also talks of a more dense formula of metallic partials, this would mean the paint could conduct electricity. Essentially you could paint strips of the stuff to replace the speaker wires in your Dolby or other such things.

check out the video, by the way, the video makes the whole thing look like a joke, lol, I assure you its legit.

Zero Emissions Cargo Ship
http://www.platinum.matthey.com/media_room...1110888006.html

Scandinavian design firm Wallenius Wilhelmsen have designed a zero-emissions cargo ship that takes advantage of wind, solar, wave and hydrogen-based power, they don’t expect to see a complete version of the ship until 2025. The image shown is designed for automobile transportation.

Rollable Displays
http://www.polymervision.com/Section-13823/Index.html

This really is promising, polymer vision are actually producing rollup display screens, this could be a very big advancement in all kinds of fields, a quick browse though their website shows a few of the things already in existence. It means mobile phones with pull out screens to show videos, essentially it also means spherical televisions, if that’s your thing. Have a look at the video, cant wait for this to be integrated into things.

This is taking longer than I thought, I'm going to leave it now, its 3.10am here. I may post more depending on the reaction to this.
