I'm currently trying to use the German Touring Car Championship technique to increase my funds fast enough to get a Le Man's car. But using the B-Spec driver he ALWAYS comes last in the races. If I race myself I can win but not easily.
He is driving a CLK GTR fully modded up.
My B-Spec driver has hardly any experience at all as I refused to use B-Spec up until this point. Does he improve his racing ability as he accumulates more kilometres on his record?
Also, in the GT4 status screen, is the column on the right the B-Spec drivers profile or yours? Whereas the middle one represents yours.
Thanks.

the middle represents yours, and the info on the right shows the b-specs skill.
the b-spec does get better and faster with the more experience it gets, in the booklet in the GT4 cover, it says that thay will be more faster, attack opponents more and push harder in the races, so if i were you, just get the b-spec run in an endurance or something like that and the experience will go up majorly.
but still, my b-spec still struggles in the gt formula championship, i race for 20 laps, get a i lap lead, and the lead will get cut back about 30 seconds, even though i had it on lvl 5 (push hard).

my clk gtr always wins the dtm championship in b spec mode, but my points are high (~5800, probably around 4000 last time i did the dtm races) since i use b spec for most races over 2 or 3 laps. just keep building your points up, put some R2 slicks on your car and turn the downforce all the way up.

all you have to do is use the level 5 until you get in first place, and once you're far enough ahead put it at steady and keep the pass on just in case. he should be able to stay in first easily. the problem with push is, the longer you use it, the more likely he is to make a retarded mistake and lose.

I find it helped me heaps just to spend the 5cr to get the track free run, start eh b-spec racer off. Leave..go have some tea, or whatever tickles your pickle (off the simpsons

) then come back an hour or two later, and he will have like 10000 b-spec points.
That's what I did, I went into arcade mode, and put b-spec in a JGTC NSX on nuburgring and left him for 5 laps and my points went up heaps...i think. Oh well...it works...try it

He gets better?

@Easton - you are pressing triangle, right? You need to tell him to overtake. Also, drive at 4, not 5. With 5, he'll often go off the track.

he will often go off the track when he hasnt got as much experience if it is set on 5, but if it has enough experience, then it will crash and spin less, i did the 24 hour endurance with the CLK-GTR, and it spun so many times, i put it on 5 a few times and let it go, but it spun heaps.
now with the formula gt championship, because they have the same cars, i put it on 5 for most of the race, and it is just in fron of the other cars, but it doesnt spin out which is good.
also when you have the car racing in b-spec as soon as B-spec starts, press triangle and leave it on overtake so when the time comes to over take, it will do it automatically

also the problem there is that i havent got enough skill, i dont know if it was the track skill (because i havent raced on it with b-spec) but everytime i race, get a good half lap lead, put it on b-spec, level 5, the lead i have is cut down to half.
i watch it and ya kno if it is spinning because it comes up with the little icon where the P for pit come up, and it didnt spin once.
i suppose that the B-spec gets better everytime it races on all the tracks, it has got the track skill, so if i put my forumla gt on nurburgring, it would do a awsome lap because its done a 24 hour race and it knows the track well, as for another track it hasnt raced on before, grand valley speedway in this instance, it struggles to keep up because it hasnt raced at all on that track.

i just always play it safe and only use level 5 until i get ahead, and then use steady for the rest. when it looks like the tires are gonna wear down and i have it in the 3x acceleration b spec view, i'll just switch to the normal view so it doesn't pit and get a few more laps out of it. the computer usually pits way before it needs to. i'm gonna try to do b spec mode on a lot of tracks though when i am watching something on tv or sitting on here. right now i have my M3 lapping nurburgring

sometimes, my b-spec pits at times when the tyres are yellow, just goin orange, and some other times, it is out there, spinning, when the tyres are bright red? i dont get it but its funny, so yeh, then i put it on increased pace or normal pace so it goes for more a couple more laps.
my b-spec, in the nurburgring 24 hour, a few times it started another lap when the tyres were orange, and that is not good lol, its running on lvl 3 or maybe 2, and it spins and takes ages, man b-spec can be dumb sometimes.

haha yeah sometimes i just wanna punch it in it's nonexistant face. i hate when it goes up to pass someone and then just runs into the back of them and slams on the brakes. wtf is that all about

yeh its reduculous, and it just sits up their ass, and never passes, and i told it to pit on nurburgring, the tyres were just going orange, and i had 1 bar left in my petrol tank, i told it to pit when it on that really long straight before the last few corners, and it just went past, started a new lap, got half way through the next lap, and it was running along at 50km, stoopid thing ran out of petrol!

lol just curious, what happens when you run out of gas? I'm sure the car comes to a stop but does it end the race or what?

as soon as it runs out of feul, it slows down and goes 50miles an hour around the track until it gets to the pits.
i shit myself when it had 1 bar left and b-spec started a new lap, but its ok, it would be shit if it stopped, thank god it doesnt.

He was at just over 1000 B-Spec points.
After he reached 4000 he started to win
