*paragraph removed due to whining of other members.*
The Atom kicks total ass. If you disagree, die. You're wrong.
There is no part of this car that isn't necessary for performance. It doesn't have a body. A roof. Hell, it doesn't even have a windscreen.
It does, however, have a tuned Honda K20C sitting amidships, nice and low for good weight distribution and a low moment of polar inertia. The engine is tuned to produce 220 horsepower- which doesn't seem like much 'till you learn that this car weighs only 456kg. That means it has a better power-to-weight ratio than the Cateram R400.

mine too. Imagine this with a really torque engine (i'm talking in relative terms), like a small (3.5L) BMW V8 or the VQ35... it'd be heavier, sure... but wow, talk about acceleration.

haha... I am a big fan of the "7" but only when built by Lotus, Cateram or Westfield. Donkervoort and Birkin make nice ones too

've decided now and then to bring to you a car that is not often discussed in the forums here, in hopes that it will gain recognition and fame. The first of this series, and definetely worth the attention, is the newly-revamped for 2004 Ariel Atom.
The Atom kicks total ass. If you disagree, die. You're wrong.

Aren't you excited Dakian that Mr.Boost is here to educate us?! Be a little more positive. He is showing us the light!
Personally I'm thrilled! I am so tired of having to look up how to spell Lamborghini (had to look it up again!) and not being able to tell the difference between a VW Beetle and a Ford F-150. THANK GOD Mr.Boost has finally come to Dieselstation!!

I understand your sarcasm. Let me explain why this post sounds funny- it was a direct copy of a post i made in another forum with a much larger population, where that was appropriate.
I'm sorry- I didn't mean to insult anyone, I just wanted to share a cool car with anyone who didn't know much about it or had never heard of it. I think it doesn't get enough respect, and I just thought I'd share some facts and multimedia with you.
Frankly, I didn't expect the rude response. I'll make sure and be more humble in the future, asshole.

Oh and to add. I think that its pretty ignorant of yourself to assume that we dont know about this car. Ever since you've been to this forum you've had this superior attitude about everyone in this forum and in fact I'm sick of it.

give me a f*cking break. I was doing a favor providing good media and specifications on an uncommon car. I already explained why the post sounded the way it did, if I edited out the first paragraph would things change?

Uhhh, I think you guys might be over-reacting slightly, I don't think he's on an ego trip...although I'm annoyed by his tendency to make consecutive posts that could be combined into just one very very easily, but nooo he's got to add to the clutter by having his sig and his avatar displayed more times than necessary.
