PREMIER! w00t. i just used it to complete my drift video... it will be in the thread in a few minutes. wink.gif

its an amazing program, really quick, clean and easy. basic stuff is just as easy as the most complicated editing that the program offers.

Video Vegas is good. Really good. Thats the program that I used for the film class I took.

Does Premiere have the ability to mix in music and clips, add tons of effects, etc? I've heard good things about both of these and I'm currently DLing Premiere. Which one is better?

yea, i made the drift video in that, it had mixed in video/audio with some effects. i dont use many effects because i feel like snazzy transitions make it look amateur.

Premier doesnt work very well with teh lame .mpg format that my TV-recorder records. And that means i dont got any programs to edit my GT3 movie sad.gif

But otherwise, Premier kicks ass! Really awesome.

I could always convert my MPG videos with RiverPast. smile.gif Thanks guys.

RiverPast doesnt work for me. It says i dont have wave-playback!? Can it have something to do with me messing up with the sound-driver and that sound icon disappeared from my taskbar?

Yes.. The drivers are deleted somehow..

Try to enter setup at the start-up. then press F5 and F10 to save & exit..

Ya, but if the sounddrivers is deleted, wouldn't that mean that my sound would be gone. But it aint. I can hear music, play games or whatever.

Thought I'd ask a question.. What type of file do you save as? There is a few options, and also what audio do you save as? I am having trouble with playing the audio once I export the movie. Thanks. (BTW, I've tried uncompressed and the last one on the list... Anyone know which one works with standard WMP? And what video to use, too. Thanks)
clarkma5
I export my videos as AVIs mostly and my sound as WAVs. I usually end up converting AVIs to WMVs (with STOIK video converter) and my WAVs to MP3s (with Goldwave).
RJ
But what encoder? So, Microsoft AVI? and what Compressor under video and audio?
clarkma5
I usually encode it as DiVx or, failing that, Cinepak. DiVx is far superior though.

And when I export audio, I leave it uncompressed, then take it into Goldwave and make it an mp3 with an appropriate bitrate.
RJ
But don't you export movies with AUDIO AND VIDEO? You leave it uncompressed? For some reason I can't play uncompressed AUDIO in VIDEOS...
clarkma5
Oh, you mean how you compress the audio in the video, not just audio by itself.

I still leave my audio uncompressed when I export the movie...and it always works for me. Dunno what to say.
