Vorsteiner Lamborghini Gallardo 2012 Review

In case your attention has lately been drawn towards the upcoming Lamborghini Urus SUV or the eventual Gallardo replacement, the Lamborghini Cabrera, odds are that you believe no ongoing Lambo can surprise you anymore. Well, it turns out you still might be in for a surprise, as a new tuning package for the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera has just been revealed by Vorsteiner, the same German tuning company that presented the ferocious looking GTRS3 BMW E93 M3 2012 not too long ago.

The new Vorsteiner tuning package include two new sets of wheels for the Gallardo, the VS-110 set consisting in a 1-piece forged wheels and the VS-310 consisting in a 3-piece forged wheels. In addition the new sets of wheels can be powder coated or custom painted as the client desires. Unfortunately there's no information on what type of tires will the rims come with, but don't expect them to be a downgrade from the 235/35; 295/30 Pirelli PZero Corsa found on the standard Superleggera.

Furthermore, Vorsteiner intends on take the tuning package up a notch by adding a collection of lightweight pre-preg carbon fiber aerodynamics and performance accessories which will be made available for purchase during Fall 2012.

No changes in performance have been announced by Vorsteiner, so what you'll get is a slightly better looking (and slightly more aerodynamic) Superleggera hiding the same V10 direct-injection 570 horsepower engine under its bonnet, able to develop a top speed of 202 mph and accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds.

Unfortunately no information regarding the pricing of the Vorsteiner tuning package have been revealed, but considering the fact that the Superleggera will set you back roughly $237,000, the tuning package is pocket money.

With the Vorsteiner tuning package, the competition between the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera and the Ferrari 458 Italia, Aston Martin V12 Vantage and the McLaren MP4-12C has just become more interesting.
