BBR Mazda MX-5 GT270 2014 Review

Brodie Brittain Racing (BBR) has announced the launch of its most potent package, the Mazda MX-5 GT270, for the Mazda MX-5.

The BBR GT270 is the most powerful new Mazda MX-5 on sale today, producing 268bhp (199 kW) at 7350rpm and a peak torque of 227 lb-ft (307 Nm) at 5100rpm. Given the considerable torque increase over standard BBR has installed an uprated Exedy clutch with a higher clamping pressure than the factory unit to ensure longevity of the GT270’s powertrain.

With careful component selection allied to extensive ECU recalibration, BBR has achieved exceptional power gains at very low turbo boost pressures, thus ensuring maximum efficiency and longevity for GT270 owners.

With a kerb weight of just 1190 kilos and supercar troubling power-to-weight ratio of 225bhp per ton (144bhp per ton standard), the BBR Mazda GT270 is capable of 0-60mph in just 4.9 seconds, culminating in an electronically limited top speed of 150mph.

The new BBR Mazda MX-5 270 will be available in a limited series of just 100 units with electrifying performance priced at £29,995.00 (car included).
