Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicle 2011
Yesterday, Ford announced the details of its newest pursuit-rate vehicle - the Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicle 2011, which will complement the Police Interceptor sedan introduced earlier this year. Ford's new Police Interceptor Utility vehicle is equipped with 3.5L V6 280 HP engine which is mated with a unique 6-speed automatic transmission that combines lowered initial gears for improved off-the-line acceleration and higher gearing for improved efficiency at lower engine rpm when cruising.
The new Police Interceptor will deliver 20% better fuel economy compared to the current Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.
